Production enterprise "Cable couplings STANDARD" it was formed in 2005 on the basis of the production enterprise "STROYTEX" — a manufacturer of cable connecting sleeves and tips with contact bolts with detachable heads. The main activity of the enterprise is the development and production of cable couplings based on heat-shrinkable materials, which have become widespread over the past 20 years.

The idea of creating such an enterprise was prompted by the situation on the Russian cable fittings market in the late 90s. By this time, we were already familiar with the products of Raychem, which supplies cable couplings based on heat-shrinkable materials to the Russian market. However, the crisis of '98, when the ruble depreciated, and imported couplings became quite expensive, pushed some domestic enterprises to solve the problems of creating such products in Russia. In addition, this was facilitated by the Government program to support the Russian manufacturer. Based on the experience of using Raychem cable fittings, almost all organizations took their equipment as a basis and based on the practical experience and wishes of operating organizations, they changed and supplemented the design features of the products. In this regard, we are no exception either.

The main feature and basis of our company's work was joint cooperation with one of the European companies producing a wide range of heat-shrinkable insulation materials, where technologies for the production of such products have been developed for decades. And today the company has a number of foreign partners with whom it constantly conducts joint work on the development, manufacture and introduction of new heat-shrinkable materials and products in order to ensure their high reliability during operation.

The company produces a wide range of cable couplings for various types of power cables with a voltage of up to 35 kV. The volume of our products (cable couplings) today is 6000-7000 sets per month. The company is located in Unecha, Bryansk region, eighty kilometers from the borders with Belarus and Ukraine with the central office of the company and warehouses of finished products, which are located in Podolsk, Moscow region. The company owns production areas of more than 4000 m2, fully equipped with the necessary equipment of domestic and imported production. More than 60 people are employed in the work of the enterprise, including engineers, technologists, foremen, normalizers, quality control controllers, pickers. All specialists have higher and secondary vocational education.

The company supplies its products to more than 70 regions of Russia, as well as to countries near and far abroad.

The company is a regular participant of the SAVEH exhibition in Moscow and other regional exhibitions.

Heat-shrinkable technologies and materials, which have recently become widespread in the repair and operation of cable networks, have significantly increased the manufacturability and reduced the time of cable connection and termination processes. The time required for the training of electricians has been significantly reduced. The ability of heat-shrinkable materials to retain their properties over a wide temperature range, high electrical strength and chemical resistance to aggressive environments have ensured their growing use in various industries from year to year.
